SEHTA is delighted to welcome Steven Haken to the team as our Market Access & Reimbursement Advisor.
With over 19 years of experience, he has supported MedTech, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, and Digital Health companies in securing reimbursement and HTA approval for medical technologies at scale.
His work focuses on making innovation economically legible to healthcare systems, integrating clinical evidence, real-world data, and payer decision-making into coherent adoption strategies. He has contributed to reimbursement success for more than 2,000 technologies globally and led over 40 real-world evidence frameworks incorporating PROMs, registries, and payer-relevant endpoints.
His expertise spans NICE (UK), HAS (France), G-BA/IQWiG (Germany), Spanish pathways, Australian HTA (MSAC/PBAC), and US payer systems (Medicare/Medicaid), as well as experience supporting EU Joint Clinical Assessments under the EU HTA Regulation.
He advises on economic modelling, budget impact, and evidence strategies, using approaches such as Markov modelling, discrete-event simulation, and survival analysis across multiple therapeutic areas.
