Mission to NZ Bio 2008
End : 2 Apr 2008 - 17:00
UKTI and the British High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand invite you to join a group of British and New Zealand medical researchers and product developers to look at possibilities for closer collaboration. This is a field where New Zealand researchers have a lot to offer. The workshop will take place on April 3, the day after the NZBio Conference 2008, which will also offer extensive opportunities for organisations active in this area.
The workshop will bring together researchers and product developers from New Zealand and the United Kingdom who are in research and product development with particular emphasis on wound care, regenerative medicines, animal vaccines and medical devices. The objective of the workshop is to let researchers and commercial developers explore the potential for collaboration in this extremely important field. We are expecting participants from both research institutes and commercial companies. Lord Digby Jones, Minister for Trade and Investment, plans to be in New Zealand during the mission, and hopes to meet participants.
The workshop has been planned to coincide with the NZBio Conference, which will run from 31 March to 2 April. The Conference is the premier biotechnology event in New Zealand and runs over three days in Auckland. The conference features specific sessions on licensing, collaboration, business partnering, taking ideas to market, nutrition and health, new health solutions, and the latest medical technology and diagnostics developments in New Zealand. It will also feature a break-out session on UK-NZ opportunities, where you will be able to showcase your work and learn about the work of others.
