End : 2 Apr 2008 - 17:00
Cancer remains one of the main health problems of our times, occupying companies and researchers globally. Today, focused Oncology R&D is leading the way in both the UK and Scandinavia. To further strengthen this activity, UK Trade & Investment is organising an oncology workshop on 2 April 2008 at the British Embassy, in Copenhagen.
The aim of the workshop is for targeted academic and industry participants from the UK and Medicon Valley area of Denmark and Sweden to network and initiate new partnerships, alliances and collaborations, and to strengthen existing ones. Brief information is linked at www.biosciencealliance.org/events and a full programme will be available there soon.
The workshop will include 3 themed oncology roundtable discussions. Workshop topics and participants will be announced during February, and suggestions for topics are welcomed. UK Trade & Investment hold funds to reimburse all reasonable travel expenses and hotel accomodation will be provided for UK participants; please contact us to agree your participation well in advance.
Initially, please register your interest in attending the workshop by email ( info@biosciencealliance.eu) or at www.biosciencealliance.org/register
In the evening of 1 April, UK Trade & Investment will launch its Nordic Oncology business strategy 2008-9, attended by targeted oncology contacts from the UKTI network. A buffet will be served and there will be opportunities for informal oncology networking. Formal invitations will be issued during March, and we hope you are able to join us for one or both events.
