UK e-Health & telemedicine Trade Mission to China
End : 9 Jul 2010 - 17:00
The World Expo is a large-scale, global, non-commercial event. Expo aims to promote the exchange of ideas and development of the world economy, culture, science and technology, to allow exhibitors to publicise and display their achievements and improve international relationships. Accordingly, the World Expo with its 150-year history is regarded as the Olympic Games of the economy, science and technology. The Shanghai World Expo will run from May through to the end of October 2010 and is themed “Better City Better Life”.?
Enabling Innovation – UK China partnership in ICT was launched in October 2008 in Beijing, with support from some of the UK’s leading industry players such as BT, Vodafone, Sony Ericsson and ARM. To date, the initiative has helped over 100 UK companies to better understand the market opportunities and potential technology collaborations with top Chinese multinationals, at the same time, introducing them to senior industry decision makers in China that they would otherwise find difficult or impossible to access. ?
As part of the initiative, there is a major activity during the week of 5th July when around 50 UK technology companies will visit China.
This e-Health & telemedicine mission will visit Beijing; Chengdu & Shenzhen & Shanghai.
Programme of activity will include seminars and panel sessions; site visits to key Chinese companies; one to one meetings and table top exhibitions.
Cost per company to participate is £250.
