Health Innovation and Education Clusters : a half day workshop
End : 9 Jul 2009 - 12:30
South East Coast Strategic Health Authority is proud to announce a half-day workshop on Health Innovation and Education Clusters.
The workshop is designed to:
- Enable discussion of the benefits that HIECs might bring to all partner organisations (NHS, academic and Industry);
- Update on the HIEC application process and timescales; and, to
- Enable networking between current and potential HIEC partners in the SE Coast.
We are delighted that Dr Patricia Hamilton, Director Medical Education at the Department of Health, will be providing the key note speech. We will also have the opportunity of hearing from colleagues who have already embarked upon HIEC discussions locally.
For those who would like it, there is also the option of taking a tour of the Salomon’s Museum, which celebrates the lives of Sir David Salomons, the first Jewish Lord Mayor of London and a founder of the London and Westminster Bank; and his nephew Sir David Lionel Salomons - a keen scientist, engineer and pioneer of road transport. He had the vision to install one of the country’s first domestic electric lighting systems at Salomon’s and built the amazing ‘Science Theatre’, where our workshop is taking place.
Venue: The Salomon's Centre, Kent
