4th International Conference on Rapid Manufacturing

Now entering its fourth year, the International Conference on Rapid Manufacturing is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading networking events for both academics and industrialists interested in additive layer manufacturing. Hosted by the Rapid Manufacturing Research Group at Loughborough University UK, the conference attracts over 150 delegates from around the globe and brings together researchers, vendors and users of additive technologies. The 2009 conference will again focus on the very best in process and materials development, supply chain and management issues, design for RM and novel RM applications within industry.
The event organisers are pleased to announce that this year’s conference will take place on the 8th and 9th July 2009 at the Sir Denis Rooke Conference Centre, Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK. The conference will include presentations from companies including Rolls Royce, Turbomeca, The US Office of Naval Research, Solidica, TWI and Shapeways. Presentations will also be given by leading researchers and academics from the Universities of Texas, Singapore, Liverpool, and Loughborough, The Fraunhofer institute for Lasers, The University of Leuven and Cornell University USA. Further speakers will be announced shortly.
Running in parallel to the conference will be an exclusive technology and material vendor’s exhibition solely for delegates, which will showcase the very latest in additive layer manufacturing developments.
